Overview

The School of Science at Edith Cowan University (ECU) offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees in a wide range of disciplines.  Academics in the School are involved in research and teaching relating to: Computing, Security, Cyber Security, Biological Science, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, with a focus on the continued growth of the disciplines.

The school is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to join its operations team for 12 months. This position is primarily responsible for, but not restricted to, supporting WHS activities and administration in the School and wider University, communications and marketing collateral coordination and supporting staff with financial activities.  If successful, you will be part of the larger School professional staff team and report to the Operations Manager, School of Science.

SELECTION CRITERIA 

  • Demonstrated high level of administrative skills with attention to detail and ability to accurately maintain administrative systems and procedures;
  • Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise numerous tasks with minimal supervision in order to meet deadlines and ensure targeted outcomes;
  • Interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop good relationships and ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • An interest or desire to further your experience in WHS and an opportunity to train to be a WHS Representative.

You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.

This full-time ongoing position attracts remuneration of $69,152 to $73,652 plus 17% superannuation.
