Overview
The School of Medical and Health Sciences at Edith Cowan University (ECU) offer undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees.  Academics in the School are involved in research and teaching relating to a wide range of health disciplines. The Survey Research Centre (ECU SRC) is a data collection call centre within the School of Medical and Health Sciences. ECU SRC provides a commercial service to internal and external clients to obtain, develop and report on research data to contribute to health improvement locally and nationally.

The School Officer/Research Centre Officer is responsible for effectively providing a broad range of administrative functions and services to ECU SRC staff and operations. The position will suit a confident individual who is self-motivated, thrives on working in a fast paced and complex work environment and who can work well independently and as part of a larger School support team.

In this position, you will be the first point of contact for answering a variety of queries related to the administration of the ECU SRC. You will also be responsible for the support of research projects to perform routine activities such as processing journal invoicing and generating financial reports. If required, there may be ad-hoc tasks that may lie outside your daily responsibilities to support the ECU SRC operations.

Selection Criteria

  • Wide range of administrative skills including high attention to detail, accurately maintaining administrative systems and procedures. Experience maintaining and management of Bulk time sheet entry on a weekly basis is desired.
  • Sound skills in using standard software and database packages, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and basic knowledge of SPSS software is preferred. Proficiency in Voxco Data collection and data management will be advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise numerous tasks with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and ensure targeted outcomes are achieved.
  • Interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop good working relationships and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience of facilitating large group training sessions would be highly regarded.
  • Experience with coordinating events/weekly of scheduling a team of +/- 60 casual staff etc.

Benefits & Remuneration
This part-time (60%), fixed-term (until end of June 2023) position attracts remuneration of $66,813 to $71,161 pa (HEW 4) pro-rata plus 17% superannuation contribution.
