Overview

The School of Medical and Health Sciences at Edith Cowan University (ECU) is looking for experienced administrators to join the Operations Team as School Officers.  These roles are responsible for effectively providing a broad range of administrative roles, function and services to the School staff and operations. 

The portfolio of responsibilities may include School Executive support, HR and payroll related tasks, processes, and advice including recruitment; assets; overseeing financial processes; event coordination; staff and/or student travel; research administrative support; and Committee support.  These positions will suit individuals who are self-motivated and thrive on working in a busy and complex work environment.

You may be asked from time-to-time to cover tasks outside of your portfolio.

Selection Criteria 

  • Experience in providing administrative support within a large organisation;
  • Demonstrated high level of administrative skills with attention to detail, accurately maintaining administrative systems and procedures;
  • Demonstrated high level organisational customer service and time management skills with the ability to prioritise numerous competing tasks with minimal supervision to meet deadlines and ensure targeted quality outcomes;
  • Demonstrated high level of skills in using standard software and database packages, including MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Adobe Pro in particular document formatting and collation;
  • Interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop good relationships and ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Experience with coordinating events (room bookings, catering, scheduling etc)
  • Experience with committee support would be an advantage

Benefits & Remuneration

These positions attract remuneration of $69,152 - $73,652 (pro-rata for the 0.6FTE position) plus up to 17% University superannuation contribution.
