  • Full-time (part-time may be considered), fixed term contract until 31 December 2021 (extension subject to funding)
  • Salary range: $88,634 - $99,510 per annum (plus superannuation)

About the Role

Reporting to the Associate Director: SA NT DataLink, this role is a key member of the research advisory and statistical linkage project team. It is responsible for working closely with researchers and organisations seeking linked data, preparing approval documentation and actively contributing to the development, collection and publishing of metadata on the researchable variables and data quality statements. The position will also play an instrumental role in establishing constructive relationships with new data providers and in acquiring new datasets for inclusion in the Master Linkage File.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the provision of research advisory and statistical linkage project support services
  • Facilitate the provision of data and metadata by data custodians for linking data sets into the Master Linkage File
  • Coordinate project activities to support timely applications and approvals for statistical linkage projects
  • Collect and manage information on workflow related to the progress of linking datasets
  • Write and edit project and evaluation reports and updates on the progress of statistical linkage projects
  • Organise workshops, seminars and other promotional activities for SA NT DataLink

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Public Health, Social Sciences, Information Management or similar
  • Demonstrated high?level project management and delivery skills
  • Ability to build constructive relationships with subject matter experts
  • Extensive knowledge of data management principles, practices, processes, issues, technology and trends
  • Ability to operate autonomously and as an effective member of a small team
