  • Base Salary $89,759 - $96,764 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Research Support Officer provides high level administrative and operational support to the Research Manager and Associate Dean Research to enable and develop the research profile of the Sydney Law School.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • assist in the implementation of activities that support the School’s Strategic Plan

  • support the School’s engagement and communication activities

  • coordinate research data collection activities

  • provide pre- and post-award research administration support

About you

  • demonstrated experience of providing high quality research administration support and exceptional attention to detail

  • demonstrated experience of undertaking a range of academic research promotion activities in order to strengthen research profile

  • excellent organisation and communication skills (both written and verbal) including the ability to exercise a high level of initiative, tact, and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters and ability to meet strict deadlines

  • ability to work both independently and as part of a busy team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work

  • well-developed interpersonal skills, including capacity to network and build effective relationships with a wide range of people, both internal and external to the University

  • excellent computer skills including the ability to identify appropriate systems and technology to support and improve administrative processes
