CSIRO’s Environment Business Unit is committed to addressing Australia’s biggest environmental challenges. One of our key research objectives is to tackle the biodiversity crisis from a whole of systems approach, addressing the critical research needed to drive transformational change and embed biodiversity at the heart of a sustainable Australia.

We are seeking a motivated Research Scientist in Biodiversity and Sustainability to join our talented team to help us address this challenge. Your research will integrate biodiversity into cross-sectoral decision making and socio-economic system sustainability, and help Australia navigate towards a nature positive position.

Bringing and building on your interdisciplinary skills and knowledge in biodiversity, sustainability, and socio-economic systems, you will play a key research role in tackling the human, societal, economic, institutional dimensions and systemic changes needed to both guide societal transitions for sustainable, equitable and biodiverse futures.
