  • Salary: $73,341 - $86,642 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role 

Reporting to the Manager: Research Projects Management, you will be responsible for the management and administration of research grants and projects to ensure that the funding bodies requirements are continuously fulfilled. You will provide technical advice and guidance in response to queries, monitor the approvals process for project establishment, and will monitor project performance to ensure compliance and fulfilment of the award and contract conditions. 

About the UniSA Research Office 

University Research Office (URO) provides support for the management of research, and administers sponsored research projects, along with collaborative and contract research arrangements. It is also responsible for ensuring the responsible and ethical conduct of research, and for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to improve the quality of the experience and outcomes for postgraduate research students. 

The Research Projects Management Team provides strategic and operational support to the Director/Deputy Director URO, by supporting researchers in research project start-up, management and reporting and through the continuous improvement of systems and processes to support the project life-cycle.

Essential Skills and Experience 

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others, including demonstrated experience working effectively with stakeholders of various levels 
  • Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities within tight time-frames 
  • Proven and excellent analytical, research and writing skills to enable the effective synthesis of complex information and data from multiple sources, and the provision of high-quality evidence-based reports 
  • Excellent computer skills, including the ability to effectively manage corporate information management systems 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of key funding scheme rules and conditions, or demonstrated ability to quickly acquire that knowledge with an ability to interpret guidelines, policies and agreements to ensure compliance
