About the team  

The Raine Study cohort is one of the largest successful prospective cohorts of pregnancy, childhood, adolescence and adulthood to be carried out anywhere in the world. The Raine Study is a rich resource for researchers.  Prospective longitudinal data has been collected at multiple time-points over pregnancy, infancy, childhood, adolescence and adulthood. The Raine Study is made up of the Generation 2 cohort participants who are now around 31 years of age and who are having their own children (Generation 3), their parents (Generation 1) are now around 58 years of age and are also part of the study.  The Raine Study team consists of the Science arm including data, biosamples and special interest groups, and the operations arm including corporate support, participant liaison, research project assistants and communications.

About the opportunity  

The Raine Study is about to embark on a new data collection Follow-up and as the appointee you will, under routine direction, support The Raine Study  by contact tracing the Raine Study’s lifelong volunteer participants via approved methods - phone, text, email, and online, updating details on our database, and provide support with social media communication.  Ensuring we have the latest up to date contact details for the upcoming data collection Follow-up.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate: 

  • Year 12 or equivalent competency
  • Relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email
  • Customer service experience (face to face / telephone), and the ability to interact with culturally diverse populations and persons experiencing a wide range of social conditions
  • Comply with all requirements for participant confidentiality, records, and data security
  • Experience working in a clinical or health sciences, public health, epidemiology or other relevant setting is desirable
  • Understanding of research projects which include physical assessments, data collection, research methodology and adhering to established protocols is desirable

You will enjoy the challenge of finding the missing pieces to incomplete information via phone, email and other preapproved methods, keeping a record of progress to ensure completion of work, and enjoy working in a friendly and supportive team.
