  • Base Salary $91,644 - $98,796 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

Opportunity for an experienced Research Officer to join the InsideOut team. InsideOut is Australia’s national institute for research and clinical excellence in eating disorders with global research partnerships. We aim to transform the treatment landscape for eating disorders in Australia, and ultimately find a cure.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • work closely with Senior Research Manager and various internal and external stakeholders to support a number of projects

  • conduct literature reviews

  • conduct data analysis and report on findings

  • coordinate the development and submission of research publications, and contribute to academic writing

  • coordinate ethics submissions, grant applications and ongoing reporting

  • contribute to the design of research projects

  • research administrative work

  • coordinate and manage research volunteers/students.

About you

  • hold undergraduate degree likely with Masters in Allied Health discipline, research or biostatistics or a PhD with relevant experience in related fields

  • Sound experience in carrying out scientific literature searches and preparing literature reviews for further analysis

  • experience in developing and working on research projects, including expertise in using research protocols, experimental design, ethics submissions and grant applications

  • experience in data analysis and preparing papers for publication

  • ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
