An exciting opportunity in the newly established Adelaide Centre for Epigenetics
The Adelaide Centre for Epigenetics (ACE) is a newly established centre within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences focusing on epigenetic research and cell fate, which will include research in development, reprogramming and cancer. The Adelaide Centre for Epigenetics will be associated with the recently established South Australian immunoGENomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI) which will be the state's world-class cancer research institute.
Working directly with Professor Jose Polo, the inaugural director of the Adelaide Centre for Epigenetics (ACE), we are seeking an experienced Research Manager who will be responsible for the monitoring and facilitation of research projects, support the governance structure and day to day laboratory and administrative operations of the Polo Laboratory and the Adelaide Centre for Epigenetics.
To be successful you will need:
- Experience in laboratory management, including adherence to sound practices such as project planning, executing plans, monitoring and reporting, achieving milestones and managing relationships.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cell biology work (preferably stem cell biology) or biochemistry; and the organisation of cellular and reagents stocks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including; report writing, budgets, presentations, publications, grant and ethics applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in working collegially as part of a team and effectively communicating with people at all levels within a large organisation.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritise work and work independently.
