The Division of Research and Innovation provides leadership in achieving the University’s strategic goals, particularly in relation to research strategy, researcher education, services, infrastructure and supporting the development of world-class research and impact, both nationally and internationally. Supporting an ethos of excellence, innovation, engagement and impact, the Division is responsible for achieving the research objectives set out in the University Strategic Plan.
Research Services provides professional staff support services to the University's Research community in relation to competitive research funding/grant opportunities, research grant administration, applications and awards, research ethics, compliance and integrity management, research contract management and research related reporting and collections such as the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) and general and strategic advice to researchers and research leaders.
Working under limited direction, the Research Integrity Officer will provide executive officer level assistance to senior managers involved in research integrity investigations, developing and providing training, overseeing complaints related to research misconduct, preparation of meeting papers and complex documentation, policy and procedure development, interpretation of relevant policies and guidelines and the monitoring of the University’s obligations under the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research. The role will also involve contributing to the development of internal processes, web site and information systems and responding to internal and external queries.

To be successful you will need:
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret regulatory and/or professional principles, resources and guidelines, and provide strategic advice.
- Demonstrated understanding of procedural fairness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to liaise and establish productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and to deal with inquiries.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow and document due process.
- Demonstrated reliability in dealing with complex, highly confidential and/or sensitive matters.
