As a Research Grants Officer, you will be a key contact for researchers, external agencies, institutions, and industry partners seeking to apply for research grants and negotiate contractual requirements. You will work closely with internal and external parties to develop effective working relationships to support excellent and highly responsive service delivery. You will have exceptional organisational and administration skills with an ability to draft and review complex documents, policies, reports and templates.

Position Requirements

 

  • Proven ability to perform in a specialist administrative support role.
  • Proficient knowledge in the use of a range of computer software programs, corporate information systems and databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of documentation to ensure a proactive approach to administering and tracking contractual obligations.
  • Knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Higher Education sector policies and procedures, particularly those related to research operations including contractual and compliance requirements and processes.
  • Completion of a degree with subsequent relevant work experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated research, analytical, problem solving and planning skills.
  • Experience in project management and/or project administration, particularly with research projects. (Desirable)
