About the team

The UWA School of Engineering is renowned for its award-winning researchers, teachers and facilities. It is a multidisciplinary school offering education and research in a number of engineering disciplines. This includes civil, environmental, mining, chemical, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering.  Successful applicants will work primarily in the large Fluid Science and Resources Research (FSRR) Group which primarily conducts research across the resources industry as well as the Future Energy Exports CRC . 

About the opportunity

As a Research Fellow you will conduct high quality research on a project run by the Future Energy Export CRC. The project will co-ordinate the development of a web-based tool to estimate emissions and cost associated with hydrogen export, with a strong focus on the use of hydrogen liquefaction to enable export.

Your responsibilities will include experimental work, publishing research papers, participating in research group activities, and managing relationships with industrial collaborators and other university researchers.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering
  • Strong track record of research publication relative to opportunity.
  • Experience with modelling of hydrogen liquefaction reactors and heat exchangers.     
  • Experience developing NMR hardware and techniques for industrial applications
  • Experience with the development and commercialisation of new measurement hardware in an industrial setting.  
  • Ability to manage research projects.
