About You

Join our groundbreaking research as a Research Fellow, pioneering the Autonomous Discovery of Green Inhibitors project. You'll be at the forefront, merging robotic electrochemistry, evolutionary algorithms, and molecular modelling, aiming for innovations in inhibitor discovery with with limited human intervention. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of sustainable technology, from refining robotic discovery processes to enhancing our understanding of molecular modelling for corrosion inhibition. You'll lead in developing algorithms that mimic genetic processes, contributing to a system that self-evolves to find new solutions. As a mentor, you'll guide and supervise two PhD students, sharing your knowledge and inspiring the next generation of researchers.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

  • A PhD in Data Science, Information Technology, Electrochemistry, Computational Materials Science, or a related field.

  • A proven track record in data integration and analysis (incl. ML) from various sources or disciplines.

  • Expertise in conducting and interpreting electrochemical experiments.

  • A solid understanding of molecular modelling.

  • Exceptional scholarly writing skills, with a history of publishing in top-tier journals and conferences.

  • The capacity to work independently, driving significant academic or real-world impact.

Qualifications Required:

  • For Level B Research Fellow Appointment: A PhD in Data Science, Information Technology, Electrochemistry, Computational Materials Science, or a related field.

  • For Level A Research Assistant (Postdoctoral) Appointment: Qualification in a relevant field and nearing completion of a PhD.
