    • Level B: $100,480 - $118,659 plus 17% superannuation
    • Level C: $122,297 - $140,478 plus 17% superannuation 

About the position

This position is part of a Strategic Academic Recruitment Initiative by La Trobe University to build research capacity in climate change research and action. It is a key part of the La Trobe Climate Change Adaptation Lab (LTCCAL) which is launching in March 2023. The aim of the Lab is to advance rigorous research, learning and knowledge exchange on climate change adaptation. It will be located within the Department of Social Inquiry within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. 

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

  • Expertise in climate change adaptation and/or related fields
  • Track record of research success
  • Enthusiasm for collaborative, impactful research.

Duties will include:

  • Conduct and lead innovative and high impact collaborative research and publications
  • Help obtain external research funding
  • Co-supervise Higher Degree by Research (HDR), honours and postgraduate students
  • Actively engage and build partnerships with industry and government
  • Be involved in professional activities including conferences and seminars
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer at a nationally significant level
  • Contribute to Department, College and University activities.
