The Opportunity

The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is looking to recruit a Research Fellow to join its research team, within the Drug Delivery, Disposition and Dynamics theme. This Research Fellow will work in collaboration with an industry partner. The aim of the research is to better understand the oral absorption of therapeutic peptides. You will be assessing in vitro and in vivo screens to determine peptide permeability across the intestinal barrier.

The Research Fellow will have:

  • A PhD in Pharmaceutical Science or a closely related field
  • Experience with in vivo studies in rodents including cannulation of blood vessels and blood sampling
  • The ability to design and conduct pharmacokinetic studies and perform pharmacokinetic calculations
  • The ability to perform in vitro assays to screen drug permeability
  • Prior experience cannulation lymphatic vessels will be highly regarded

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
