The Opportunity

The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is looking to recruit a Research Fellow to join its research team, within the Drug Delivery, Disposition and Dynamics theme. This Research Fellow will work in collaboration with the University of Auckland and Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The aim of this research is to better understand the role of lymphatic dysfunction in driving organ failure in acute and critical illnesses. The Research Fellow will focus on ways to deliver therapeutics into the lymph and how this can treat organ failure in acute and critical illnesses.

The Research Fellow will have:

  • A PhD in Pharmaceutical Science or a closely related field
  • Experience with in vivo studies in rodents including cannulation of blood vessels and blood sampling
  • The ability to design and conduct pharmacokinetic studies and perform pharmacokinetic calculations
  • Experience in formulating drug molecules
  • Experience with analytical methods to quantify drugs in biological fluids
  • Prior experience cannulation lymphatic vessels

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
