The Opportunity
Are you passionate about pioneering sustainable solutions in chemistry? Monash University invites applications for a dynamic Research Fellow to contribute to cutting-edge research in electrolytic technologies.
As a Research Fellow at Monash University's School of Chemistry, you'll delve into the forefront of innovation, developing and exploring novel electrolytic technologies for the eco-friendly synthesis of hydrogen from both pure water and seawater. Your work will play a pivotal role in advancing proton-exchange electrolyser systems towards a sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead groundbreaking research initiatives independently and collaboratively
- Design, construct, and investigate practical electrochemical devices, contributing to transformative advancements
- Publish findings in prestigious journals and present at esteemed conferences, showcasing Monash's excellence in research
- Engage in professional development activities, including seminars and conferences, enriching both personal and academic growth
- Undertake administrative duties integral to supporting the research agenda of the academic community
Qualifications & Experience:
- Doctoral qualification in Chemistry or closely related field, demonstrating academic excellence and dedication to scientific inquiry
- Proven track record in designing, constructing, and investigating electrochemical devices, with hands-on experience in galvanic or electrolytic systems
- Profound understanding and practical experience in instrumental electrochemistry, coupled with expertise in characterising electro-materials at an advanced level
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
