About the College of Medicine and Public Health
At the College of Medicine and Public Health, we deliver clinical, population and lab-based research, integrated teaching programs and high-quality clinical services. Our footprint reaches out from our world class teaching hospital at the Flinders Medical Centre in South Australia to multiple rural clinical locations all the way to Darwin in the Northern Territory. About the Role
The Research Fellow will undertake research in Rehabilitation and Aged Care on MRFF acute care projects under the broad direction of the Chief Investigator. In working with the Chief Investigator and research team, the position will contribute to project design and implementation, the analysis of data and the preparation of manuscripts for publication.
The Research Fellow will actively report on new and current research related to the research program, through generation of high quality publications and conference presentations. In addition the position will contribute to the preparation of applications for externally funded research funding.
About You
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
Completion of a PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Psychology or other relevant health related area or an equivalent qualification or evidence of professional standing, reputation and qualification demonstrated to be of an equivalent standard in the discipline area
Research experience in high quality publications, attraction of external competitive grants and presentations at a national and/or international level in a relevant health related area
Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methodology
Experience in undertaking systematic reviews
Ability to critically review literature in relevant fields
Experience in research project management and delivering project targets on time.
