The Opportunity
Join our team as a Research Fellow for the ENGAGE Project, generously funded for 4 years and 9 months, aimed at promoting shared engagement between hospitalised older people, their families and health professionals about managing medications, as patients move across different clinical settings.
This position will spearhead a randomized controlled trial across diverse hospital sites in Melbourne and regional areas, evaluating interventions designed to reduce hospital readmissions and improve medication safety.
As a Research Fellow, you will conduct interviews, facilitate co-design workshops and implement feasibility studies to refine strategies for optimal impact, providing the foundation for engaging with healthcare professionals, patients and families within the Australian healthcare system.
With your demonstrated analytical prowess and manuscript preparation skills, you will also contribute to the dissemination of findings through conference papers and peer-reviewed publications, shaping the discourse around quality of care and medication safety.
We are seeking a PhD prepared researcher, with a beginning or developing profile, who has the goal of becoming a high achieving and productive researcher. The position requires an honours degree and a doctoral qualification in a health-related discipline, such as nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, pharmacy or health sciences, or equivalent qualification.
