The Opportunity
Join our team as a Research Fellow for the ENGAGE Project, generously funded for 4 years and 9 months, aimed at promoting shared engagement between hospitalised older people, their families and health professionals about managing medications, as patients move across different clinical settings. Spearhead a randomized controlled trial in Melbourne and regional areas, aiming to reduce hospital readmissions and enhance medication safety.
Through conducting interviews, co-design workshops, and randomized controlled trials, this position will contribute significantly to initiatives targeting improved healthcare outcomes. Operating with autonomy, the Research Fellow will drive research outputs, including conference papers and publications. Expertise in co-design research, intervention evaluation, and medication safety will culminate in resource materials benefitting patients and professionals alike.
We are seeking someone with an accomplished ability, with the goal of becoming a high achieving and productive researcher with exceptional competency in diverse research skills. The position requires an honours degree and/or a postgraduate qualification in a health-related discipline, such as nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, pharmacy, health sociology or health sciences. The successful candidate will also be experienced in interacting with health professionals, patients and families in hospital environments within the Australian healthcare system.
