The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and talented individual to join the School of Social Sciences, Faculty of Arts as a Research Fellow in Human Geography. This role will be instrumental in contributing towards an ARC Discovery Research project - Tracing the impact of urban experimentation in water and energy domains and will involve working with the Chief Investigators (Associate Professor Megan Farrelly from Arts and Professor Rob Raven from MSDI ) and PhD Students to conduct research and data collection, while also playing a key role in public outreach and promotion of the research project.

If successful, you will be involved in exciting, novel research that expects to generate new knowledge regarding place-based transition dynamics associated with delivering sustainable urban infrastructures within and across water and energy domains. Together, the research team will work to inform the significant urban infrastructure transformations required in Australia to deliver sustainable, resilient and liveable cities.

To be successful, you must have a doctoral qualification in Human Geography or a cognisant field of geographical studies; environmental governance and/or sustainability transitions, and a growing academic publication track record.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
