The Opportunity

Join our innovative team as a Research Fellow, leading ground-breaking research in supportive and palliative care at Monash Health. This role offers a unique chance to explore enhanced telehealth capabilities, improving patient and clinical outcomes for both cancer and non-malignant chronic conditions.

In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Director of Supportive and Palliative Care, Monash Health and to the Project Lead in the Faculty of IT. You will have the opportunity to develop your independent research skills. This can include:

  • Conduct independent and team research, producing conference papers and publications
  • Lead clinical research coordination, data collection, and analysis
  • Provide regular research updates and ensure milestones are met
  • Explore telehealth solutions in collaboration with esteemed partners
  • Supervise research-support staff, guide junior colleagues, and research students
  • Contribute to research proposal submissions and attend professional activities

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Strong statistical analysis, qualitative and /or quantitative skillset and manuscript preparation skills
  • Experience in mentoring and leadership in a research setting
  • Ability to work independently and within interdisciplinary teams with excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in analytical software such as SPSS, R, NVivo
  • Background in clinical research and trial coordination
  • Familiarity or previous experience with using telehealth software will be preferred
