The Opportunity

Join our dynamic team as a Research Fellow (Clinical Trial Biostatistician) and play a crucial role in the design, conduct and analysis of ground-breaking clinical trials. This position will engage across all trial phases, from Phase I to Phase IV, contributing to statistical analysis plans, trial protocol development, interim monitoring and reporting. The work will also involve post-data lock analysis, significantly impacting the preparation of conference abstracts and peer-reviewed publications. We highly encourage innovative methodological approaches in design, analysis, and programming, aligning with both the research interests of the MUCTC and your academic pursuits.

The Research Fellow will bring substantial experience in clinical trials and possess excellent statistical programming skills, particularly with software such as R and Stata. In this role, you will design, analyse, review and interpret clinical trial data, both independently and collaboratively. Your contributions will include preparing statistical sections for study synopses, protocols, study reports and research proposals. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with statistical analysis plans, SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and privacy legislation, and develop custom programming code to generate essential data outputs.

We are looking for candidates with a doctoral qualification in biostatistics, statistics, or a closely related discipline, or a Master's qualification with demonstrated research experience. You should also have a solid track record of refereed research publications, excellent programming skills and experience using innovative statistical methods in clinical trials.
