Position overview

The Australian Research Council (ARC) Training Centre for Automated Manufacture of Advanced Composites was recently established under the Industrial Transformation Research Program (ITRP). The Centre is a collaboration between The Australian National University (ANU), the University of New South Wales (UNSW), the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and nine industry partners. The Research Fellows will be based in the Research School of Engineering, ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science.

The Centre is seeking an industry-focused Research Fellow in the area of Materials Enhancement. The successful applicant will be expected to a lead research program to enhance functionality of carbon composites using nanomaterial and coating technologies. The ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) is one of the premier engineering and computer science research institutions in the world.  Comprising the Research School of Computer Science and the Research School of Engineering, both are recognised as research leaders in their respective areas continuing the tradition of excellence in research and research-led education.  CECS collaborates on research projects with government departments (federal and state) and multinational corporations, helping to accelerate research and development programs and to introduce new technologies to the marketplace.
