  • Full-time (1.0 FTE), continuing position
  • Commencement Salary: $96,696 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About the Role  

Reporting directly to the Deputy Director: UniSA Research Office (Operations), you are responsible for providing expert research support and services to UniSA Education Futures and UniSA Creative. In this role you will work closely with researchers to identify and develop opportunities to achieve diversification of funding for research.  

The Research Coordinator facilitates and actively supports processes across the research lifecycle, interfacing with UniSA Research Office teams that manage pre-award, research contracting, research project management and research ethics and compliance. Together all Research Coordinators work as a team to develop inter-disciplinary research opportunities across the Academic Units to achieve the University’s strategic research goals.

The UniSA Research Office provides support for the management of research and administers internal and national competitive research grants and projects. It is also responsible for ensuring the responsible and ethical conduct of research and for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to improve the quality of the experience and outcomes for postgraduate research students.

Essential Skills and Experience  

  • Support the development, implementation and monitoring of research strategies and processes to ensure the delivery of the Academic Unit and University’s strategic objectives and enterprise targets related to uplifting research income, and research project management 
  • Act as the liaison between with UniSA Research Office and the Academic Units regarding support and involvement in University wide programs for developing research capacity 
  • Support the identification of grant and funding opportunities and implement strategies and initiatives to support the development of targeted grant and funding applications 
  • Provide expert and strategic advice for the Academic Units’ planning and review cycle as it relates to research and contribute to the creation and review of the strategic plan
