(HE07) $91,187 - $101,987 (pro-rata) per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

A part-time (0.6FTE) fixed term opportunity for a Research Consumer Engagement Officer in the Robinson Research Institute for a period of 3 years.

Established in 2008, the Robinson Research Institute is internationally renowned for its pioneering research in reproductive biology and early childhood health that spans four themes: Fertility and Conception, Pregnancy and Birth, Early Origins of Health and Child and Adolescent Health. Its mission is to deliver world-class research that advances knowledge in human reproduction, pregnancy and child health and informs clinical care, policy and practice to improve life-long health for women and children across generations into the future.

Working under limited direction with a degree of autonomy this role works closely with the University of Adelaide’s Division of External Engagement and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) Office to ensure alignment with wider University engagement strategy and policy.

Responsibilities include development and delivery of relevant consumer engagement strategies, proactively sourcing media and PR opportunities while tracking coverage.

You will also be responsible for producing marketing materials and managing sponsorship and partnership agreements.

You will be prepare detailed project plans and initiatives and pro-actively communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of progress.

To be successful you will need:

  • Broad demonstrated experience in developing and implementing engagement plans in a service organisation.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with demonstrated stakeholder management skills with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage work and deal with  ambiguity.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage high volume and multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Proven experience in event and project management.

 Desirable:

  • Previous experience or affinity with scientific and/or medical endeavours
  • Demonstrated experience and computer skills across Microsoft Office Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, mail chimp (or similar), and social media (for marketing), and database management.
