  • Part-time (0.5 FTE), fixed term contract until February 2026 based in UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance at the City East campus
  • Commencement Salary: $72,218 pro rata per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role

As the Research Associate you will contribute to the research efforts of Alliance for Research in Exercise, Nutrition and Activity (ARENA), providing research support to the NHMRC research grant entitled Improving physical activity and screen time in Outside School Hours Care through evidence-based guidelines: an effectiveness-implementation hybrid trial in metropolitan and regional services and National dissemination study.

Core Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planning of research, offering ideas on research directions and attending seminars and meetings
  • Participate in the production of data with some freedom to explore new methods and directions
  • Draft reports, abstracts and scientific papers to provide accounts of research and the findings observed
  • Comply with human ethics, animal ethics, privacy and other appropriate guidelines and maintain confidentiality of research proposals and research findings

Essential Skills and Experience
  • A postgraduate qualification in health sciences, allied health, behavioural science or related discipline
  • Experience participating in relevant areas of research and knowledge of data analysis and management and high level analytical skills
  • Competency in recording, analysing, presenting and disseminating research to stakeholders
  • High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others in a multi-disciplinary research environment
