Position Summary:

The CareSearch Project consolidates online palliative care knowledge for health professionals, people needing palliative care and their families, and for the general community. We enable access to this information via two major websites, the CareSearch website and the palliAGED website. The CareSearch Project also works closely with other projects within and external to Flinders University to maximise impact within the sector.

The Research Associate (CareSearch Evidence) will undertake research and projects in palliative care under the direction of the Chief Investigators. In working with Chief Investigators and research team, the incumbent will apply their clinical knowledge and/or experience in evidence based practice to design and execute various CareSearch project activities. Activities will include identification, critical analysis, and written synthesis of research evidence in palliative care as well as tasks to maintain the CareSearch website.

The position will take a major role in the development of palliative care resources for General Practitioners and for primary care in collaboration with the clinician review group. The Research Associate will also contribute to the planned development of the CareSearch Evidence Centre to expand support for use of research evidence in planning, decision‐making, care delivery and evaluation.

A National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will be required by Flinders University before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
