  • Based in UniSA STEM in the Future Industries Institute at the Mawson Lakes campus
  • Full-time, fixed-term contract until 31 July 2025
  • Salary: $95,028 - $101,754 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

About You 

You are a skilled Researcher in the Mineral Resource Engineering industry with strong verbal and written communication skills. You lead and work well with others, displaying conviction, resilience, collaboration and motivation. You take initiative and deliver results through seizing opportunities and being outcome focused. 

About the Role 

Reporting to the Director: FII through the Research Process / Research Leader in Minerals and Resource Engineering, you will be responsible for conducting research in support of the CRC-Project iTech Minerals Vertically Integrated Battery Anode Material Pilot Plant. You will collaborate with industry partners and UniSA researchers to statistically analyse results and prepare findings for reports, presentations and research publications.

Essential Skills and Experience 

  • A PhD, or equivalent research experience in Mineral Resource Engineering or related field, with a strong mineral processing background 
  • Knowledge and experience in metallurgical data analysis, and simulation and modelling of process flow sheets 
  • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical methods of data analysis for interpretation of analytical results pertaining to experimental factors in a multidiscipline project 
  • Project management skills, including the ability to initiate, plan and manage projects ensuring milestones are met 
  • Scientific writing skills demonstrated by a record of peer reviewed publications and conference presentations commensurate with opportunity
