POSITION SUMMARY
This Research Assistant is responsible for providing high-level research assistance for both traditional and non-traditional (creative practice) researchers. This will involve conducting literature searches, data management, recruiting participants, obtaining consent, maintaining files, scheduling and conducting interviews, maintaining data collection files, assisting with data analysis and generating correspondence, reports and graphics. This includes demonstrating communication, accountability, flexibility/adaptability, judgment/problem solving, customer service and core values while fulfilling job duties.
Working under the general direction of the direct and indirect reports, this position is also responsible for coordinating the day-to-day research support activities of the projects, acting as the first point of contact for all enquiries related to the projects, and provide support when needed. Specific responsibilities will depend on the topic, nature and duration of the projects, as required.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- University undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in an Arts and/or Design discipline.
- Demonstrated research experience in primary or secondary data collection.
- Ability to use NVivo and SPSS is preferred.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT
English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent, as outlined in the Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding Guidelines).
For any role, English Language Proficiency may also be proven by showing successful completion of secondary education to a level qualifying to enter university study while being instructed through the medium of English, as per the RMIT University recognised qualification list.
