Overview
The School of Medical and Health Sciences at Edith Cowan University (ECU) offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees. Academics in the School are involved in research and teaching relating to a wide range of health disciplines.

The SPIN (Systematic Profiling in Neurological Conditions) Research Program was established in 2019 within the School of Medical and Health Sciences at Edith Cowan University (ECU). The focus of SPIN is to develop and trial interventions which will help maintain and improve the quality of life of individuals living with neurological conditions.

ECU is seeking a Research Assistant (Motor Component) to provide support to the SPIN research team to carry out innovative and high impact research. Reporting to the Research Project Coordinator, this role entails undertaking administration of motor assessments and quality control of the collected data in accordance with project outcomes.  

The successful candidate will possess the following key attributes:

  • A bachelor’s degree in health science or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to administer a range of motor assessments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of working with individuals living with neurological conditions.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality control of collected data and data sets.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload.
  • Ability to effectively work within a team.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level problem solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Check

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, fixed term position (12 months) attracts remuneration of $73,257 to $81,404 pa (HEW 5) plus 17% University Superannuation contribution.
