Overview
ECU’s School of Science and Centre for Marine Ecosystems Research are seeking a research assistant to join a team to research pressure-response relationships of temperate seagrasses to dredging and climate change pressures and develop strategies to build resilience. The research assistant will work in a team assisting with field and mesocosm experiments, enter and analyse data and contribute to reporting.
Skills and Experience
Prospective candidates should have a Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in marine ecology or equivalent, with experience in experimental field and mesocosm studies. The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, good interpersonal communication and organisation skills is important. Knowledge of physiology of temperate seagrass ecosystems and SCUBA diving and boat handling skills will be an advantage.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, fixed term position attracts remuneration of $73,257 to $81,404 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
