About the Role 

Within the Caring Futures Institute, you will support research aligned with national and international healthcare priorities, to create impactful and implementable outcomes for health and community service sectors. As a Research Assistant, you will collaborate with the Caring Futures Institute Manager and associated team to provide a range of organisational and administrative support that will assist with the overall planning and management of research related projects.

Your role is integral in supporting dissemination and research translation activities, including developing seminar and conference presentations, creating website content and research summaries, producing, and editing reports, and supporting the data collection and analysis undertaken by researchers. You will also support ethics and governance applications and will remain vigilant in effectively establishing and maintaining databases, records, and systems for secure storage.

About You 

With your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you will maintain strong relationships with staff, and internal and external stakeholders to excel in a collaborative environment. You will have demonstrated experience in working independently and as part of diverse teams, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement. You will demonstrate a high level of written communication skills, including the ability to develop literature reviews, write reports, and create ethic and governance applications. Your keen attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills will allow you to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines while always demonstrating a commitment to high quality service delivery. Your ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and applications will complement your well-developed knowledge and confidence in computer literacy.

The successful applicant will have completed a degree and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. You will have demonstrated experience in data collection and analysis, to support the theme capacity and capability building activities of Institute.

Prescribed Conditions for Employment

  • A valid National Police Certificate which is satisfactory to the University will also be required before the successful applicant can commence in this position.
