About the opportunity
Working as part of the Tasmania Engagement team, the Relationship Manager plays a critical role in the implementation of the University’s domestic student recruitment strategy and assists in achieving domestic student recruitment performance targets through managing a broad range of activities. The Relationship Manager will be required to attend out of hours activities, be able to spend periods of time travelling intrastate, and spend time at all University campuses and locations. The ability to take annual leave at certain times of the year may also be restricted.
What you’ll do:
- In consultation with the Manager, Tasmania Future Students and working in collaboration with other internal and external stakeholders, implement strategic initiatives that aim to increase the proportion of Tasmanian school leavers and adult learners from a specified region enrolling with the University of Tasmania.
- Provide high level relationship management to key education sector stakeholders.
- Plan and implement school recruitment plans to achieve agreed application and enrolment targets.
- Play a lead role in staffing key internal and external University events.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders including academic staff, student administration staff, partner agencies and suppliers.
What we’re looking for:
- A qualification in sales, marketing, management, education and experience in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills, together with a demonstrated ability to work with competing demands, prioritise work tasks, and be flexible in responding to changing work priorities.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as the capacity to work independently with initiative, problem solving ability, and accountability on projects.
- Computer literacy, including the ability to use Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently influence outcomes at all levels of organisations, and liaise with people of various skills, experience and background to achieve win-win outcomes.
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (or to be obtained)
Salary details
Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $110,273 comprising base salary within the range of $86,918 to $94,250 plus 17% superannuation.
