RMIT Activator is a partner on a number of collaborative, externally funded projects with public and private partners seeking to drive sustainable economic impact and empowerment across a diverse range of communities and contexts. About the Role
As the Impact Projects Manager, you will work with the leadership team to build on and implement the strategic plan, to support the ongoing growth of RMIT Activator. You will develop a portfolio of impact projects focused on sustainable and circular cities and communities.
 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Identify opportunities to grow revenue and scale impact

  • Develop and implement growth strategies for each of the project portfolios

  • Optimise project efficiencies, team and resource allocations

  • Act as a thought and practice leader, informing new product and program development and ensuring adoption of best-practice methods and approaches

  • Expand external client networks and establish links with RMIT portfolios and schools to partner on significant impact projects

About You
You will be an adaptive, curious and action-oriented professional, with a passion for sustainable community development through entrepreneurship and innovation. You will draw on your skills and experience across sustainability, innovation methodologies, emerging tech, circular economy, systems thinking or other relevant domains.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:

  • Extensive experience delivering sustainable impact outcomes using best-practice tools and methods of applied innovation and entrepreneurship

  • Demonstrated commercial proficiency including the ability to identify and pursue a mix of revenue growth opportunities including public tenders, industry partnerships, grant funding etc. Successful track record in bid/tender and proposal design and development

  • Proven track record of working independently and in a team, whilst managing multiple and competing workstreams, deadlines and budgets in a dynamic, ambiguous and fast-paced environment

  • Ability to consult and collaborate with a range of program/product design and subject matter experts to design and scope unique projects that create new value for clients and RMIT Activator and deliver tangible impact outcomes
