The School of Humanities and Communication Arts, Western Sydney University invites expressions of interest from people who are interested in casual part-time academic work which will involve lectures, tutorials, workshops and marking in the Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication). Applications to be considered for our eligibility list are invited from candidates with expertise and experience in teaching in one or more of our discipline areas specifically in the fields of data visualisation, social design, web design, app design, photography and illustration.

The Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication) is offered on the Parramatta (Victoria Road) campus. For further information on the program structure refer to the University Handbook at http://handbook.westernsydney.edu.au/hbook/course.aspx?course=1571.9

Applicants are required to indicate the area/s in which they are interested in teaching when addressing the selection criteria: data visualisation, social design, web design, app design, photography and illustration.

Applicants are also asked to provide a link to an electronic portfolio.

Please note: an Eligibility List is a pool of suitably qualified people, whose expertise can be called upon in response to the School’s teaching needs. Inclusion on the eligibility list does not guarantee employment.

Remuneration: Tutor to Lecturer ranges from $97.67 to $202.62 per hour. A separate rate for marking and academic other duties is available from the School.
