About the Role

The MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development is seeking to appoint an outstanding and innovative scholar to complement and strengthen our research in Infant Studies.

In this position you will contribute to leading, promoting, and developing research engagement associated with the BabyLab and ensuring that the BabyLab is nationally and globally recognised for high-quality basic science and, impactful translational research.  You will address local and national research priorities and may include forging new collaborative partnerships with external organisations, schools, early learning, and healthcare providers.

The vision for MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development is to optimise human interaction and wellbeing across the lifespan. We strive to solve the problems that matter most through the themes sensing and perceiving, interacting with each other, and technologies for humans. The interdisciplinary nature of the Institute’s research brings together staff and students from all 3 clusters including the disciplines cognitive science, developmental psychology, language science, music science, cognitive neuroscience, and biomedical, electrical, electronic and software engineering. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 3 years based at the Westmead Campus, located in the Westmead Health and Medical Research Precinct.

About You

You will hold a PhD in psychology or a related discipline with demonstrated expertise in the areas of Psychology together with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary research team as well as working independently.

Remuneration Package:
Academic Level B $127,812 to $150,817 p.a. (salary $108,003 to $127,531, plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).

Academic Level C $155,383 to $178,242 p.a. (salary $131,433 to $150,971, plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
