About the Role

Full Time, Fixed Term Position for 2 Years
Parramatta Campus
The Office of Teaching & Research Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated individual who has completed Year 12 education, Certificate III or equivalent in Engineering Mechanical trade, or a related discipline to join one of our Built Environment and Engineering Technical Support Team. 

This position will support various teaching units and research project within the Built Environment and Engineering Team. The trainee will attend TAFE to complete Engineering Mechanical Trade or a related qualification and are also encouraged to take part in professional development program inside the University. 

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply and, where found suitable, will be given higher priority. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants may have to cite their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage, in addition to the selection criteria. 

Applicants should be aware that this role will be based at Parramatta campus, however as Western Sydney University is a multi-campus university travel to other campuses may be required when operational needs arise. 

Hours of work for employees in Teaching & Research Technical Services may vary due to operational requirements in supporting teaching classes or research projects.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 3 $76,951 to $83,911 p.a. (comprising Salary of $65,024 to $70,906 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
