About the role
The Office of Teaching & Research Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated individual with a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, to join one of our Technical Support Teams. The Senior Technical Support Officer will provide support for neuromorphic engineering research within the International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems (ICNS), a key research group within the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development. You will provide support with electronics, including the design, implementation and testing of sensors and support of software driven electronic devices and telescope equipment.

The MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development is an interdisciplinary research institute of Western Sydney. The vision for the Institute is to optimise human interaction and wellbeing across the lifespan. To strive to solve the problems that matter most through the themes: sensing and perceiving, interacting with each other, and technologies for humans. Researchers in MARCS come from many disciplines including cognitive science, neuroscience, developmental psychology, language science, music science, and biomedical, electrical, electronic and software engineering.

Applicants should be aware that this role will be based at the Werrington South campus, however as Western Sydney University is a multi-campus university travel to other campuses may be required when operational needs arise. Hours of work for employees in Teaching & Research Technical Services may vary due to operational requirements in supporting teaching classes or research projects and further details are outlined in the position description.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 6 $100,670 to $107,945 p.a. (comprising Salary of $85,067 to $91,215 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
