An opportunity exists for a Associate Professor in Social Work (Field Education) to join the team.

In this role you will be responsible for contributing substantively to the leadership of teaching, research and engagement activities as a member of the Social Work Academic Work Group.

You will have particular responsibility for:

• Contributing to state, national and international conversations about field education, with a view to redevelopments that reflect contemporary local and global contexts.
• In consultation with the social work team and professional field education staff, developing innovative approaches to field education that optimise student learning and contribute to the needs of practice organisations.
• Ensuring that the needs of international students and students from non-English speaking backgrounds are catered for, including drawing on their knowledge derived from specific country and cultural backgrounds.
• Conducting regular evaluations of student and agency experiences of Western Sydney University’s field education program.

You must be eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).

Remuneration Package: Academic Level D $175,136 to $192,359 p.a. (comprising Salary $148,395 to $163,116 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation, plus Leave Loading)
