Working as a member of the Learning Futures Portfolio, The Learning Advisor (MESH) plays a key role in supporting the priorities of the university’s strategic plan and its learning and teaching plan (Learning Futures) in the area of mathematics, statistics and numeracy support.

Learning Advisors, MESH work with the academic community, other mathematics, statistics and numeracy education support staff in the context of an integrated service model. This position addresses the University priority of developing literacies in the context of integrated learning outcomes. The successful candidate requires skills in identifying strategies for improving curriculum and assessment and delivery to support the Mathematical literacy needs of students.

The position involves teaching and advising students on study related numeracy issues, consulting with teaching staff on curriculum design, providing advice and assistance with numeracy initiatives in Schools and liaison with relevant University entities as required.

This is a part-time (0.5 FTE), ongoing position based at the Parramatta South Campus and regular travel between University campuses is a requirement of the position.

Remuneration Package: Higher Education Worker Level 7 - $108,206 to $116,756 p.a. (comprising Salary $91,435 to $98,660 p.a. plus 17% Superannuation as applicable and Leave Loading).

Please note, the above salary range is based on the full-timeequivalent (1.0 FTE) and the salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis applicable to 0.5 FTE.
