About the Opportunity
The International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems (ICNS) is looking for a highly motivated and organised professional to join their team for a 10-week secondment (from 19 August 2024 until 27 October 2024) as the Centre Manager. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional administrative training in a large, complex organisation, along with demonstrated management experience.

Neuromorphic Engineering is an exciting and fast-evolving field dedicated to developing cutting-edge computing systems that emulate the human brain's performance. At the forefront of this innovation, ICNS leads the world in neuromorphic engineering research, even deploying neuromorphic sensors on the International Space Station.

The Centre Manager plays a crucial role in supporting ICNS’s mission of conducting ground breaking research. This dynamic position involves overseeing the Centre's operations, including facilities, staffing, finances, communications, and stakeholder management. The Centre Manager will collaborate closely with the Institute Manager, Centre Director, Institute Director and researchers to ensure seamless operations and continued excellence.

This is a full-time 10 week secondment opportunity (from 19 August 2024 until 27 October 2024) based at Werrington South campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required.

About the Centre
The International Centre for Neuromorphic Systems (ICNS) is a centre within the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development. The centre is explicitly interdisciplinary, by combining electrical engineering, computer science, signal processing and neuroscience. The Centre focus is on developing Neuromorphic Engineering solutions to existing problems. The Centre has strong international partnerships within the neuromorphic engineering community.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 8 $130,740 to $145,135 p.a. (comprising Salary of $110,477 to $122,641 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
