Research Services provides integrated administrative and management support for researchers and research activity across the University, with a strong focus on research development, income generation, ethical review and the coordination of researcher development.

Research Services are seeking to employ a Research Quality and Performance Coordinator to manage and co-ordinate the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) 2023 and the Engagement and Impact (E&I) 2024 submissions.

In this position you will utilise a high-level understanding of ERA & EI, including associated areas such as research publications, research income, research quality, engagement, impact, approach to impact and benchmarking. 

You will plan, lead and manage complex operational project and data preparation activities including scheduling, project co-ordination, supporting academic groups, producing reports and allocating resources to ensure successful delivery of ERA & EI data submissions. 

You will improve research quality at Western by developing, recommending and implementing a range of strategies, including but not limited to:

• Setting research targets
• Developing programs to raise the profile of the University and it’s Academics via prizes, awards & fellowships
• Dissemination of information to Academics detailing methods of improving research quality particularly in relation to local and global rankings.

You will also provide data analysis and written reports that clearly articulate research activity trends and use research activity benchmarking to guide the University’s ERA strategic decisions.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position until December 2022 based at the Penrith Campus.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 7 $110,370 to $119,091 p.a. (comprising Salary of $93,264 to $100,633 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading).
