This position represents an opportunity to work in a growing area of medical research. The Research Fellow will be expected to support the research efforts of the School of Medicine through successful applications for competitive grants and other sources of funding. The successful applicant will be responsible for liaising with the Sydney Partnership for Health, Education, Research and Enterprise staff, academic and industry partners, health professionals and publishing in high quality journals.

Additionally, the successful applicant will develop their research career pathway, supervise higher degree research students, organise and lead research discussion groups and journal clubs and may have financial management of research funds and manage research support staff involved in the conduct of research. The position holder will also be required to undertake teaching.

This is a full time or part-time appointment with the hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant, fixed term appointment for 2 years.

Remuneration Package: Research Fellow (Academic Level B) $125,306 to $147,860 p.a. (comprising salary $105,885 to $125,030 p.a.; 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).

Part time appointments will be calculated on a pro rata basis.
