Located in the new Westmead Innovation Quarter (WIQ) – a visionary research, health, education and business hub located in the Westmead Health Precinct, the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development is looking for a Senior Business Development Officer.

The Senior Business Development Officer holds responsibility for building and monitoring a portfolio of external relationships and pipeline of funding opportunities, as well as securing new funding that is aligned to our research, science, innovation and impact goals. The role will perform a critical function in establishing external linkages, identifying partnership opportunities and matching appropriate resources to deliver on projects and initiatives.

This position holder will work autonomously to manage a portfolio of researchers and research groups within the Institute, specifically in the Brain Sciences and Biomedical and Human Technologies programs.  The role will require that strategic business development targets are identified, and productive partnerships established. We are therefore seeking a self-motivated and energetic individual with the ability to work independently to join our team. For further information please refer to the attached Position Description.

The MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development is an interdisciplinary research institute of Western Sydney University. The vision for the Institute is to optimise human interaction and wellbeing across the lifespan. Researchers in MARCS come from many disciplines including cognitive science, developmental psychology, language science, music science, cognitive neuroscience, and biomedical, electrical, electronic and software engineering. This is a full-time, 3 year fixed-term contract based on the Westmead campus - Westmead Innovation Quarter.

Remuneration Package: HEW Level 8 $120,879 to $134,189 p.a. (comprising Salary of $102,144 to $113,391 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading).
