About the Role
Western Sydney University, The College is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Student Success Coach.

The Student Success Coach provides individual and group student success coaching to an identified cohort of students, with a focus on providing pastoral support, integrated academic support and career guidance. In this position you will monitor student progress and act as the central point of contact for all College matters related to the student experience for the identified student cohort. You will also be responsible for supporting the resolution of complex student matters by working with a range of stakeholders, including teaching staff and shared services partners. Additionally, the Student Success Coach supports engagement of both students at risk of not progressing in their studies and those progressing well to develop a strong sense of belonging to an inclusive campus community.

This is a full-time fixed-term position until 31 December 2024 based at Nirimba (Blacktown) Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required.

About You
The successful applicant will have a relevant undergraduate degree or have an equivalent combination of education/training. Applicants are expected to have knowledge of coaching/ mentoring approaches and theories to support coherent efforts in student services and engagement. An understanding of the issues that impact students from a variety of backgrounds and the capacity to successfully develop effective solutions is essential.

Working with Children Check
As the College provide education opportunities to ages that include under 18 years old, it is a prerequisite to have/gain WWC clearance. Therefore, it is a requirement to obtain and maintain a “NSW Working with Children Check Clearance”.

Remuneration Package:

Professional Staff Level 6 $100,780 p.a. (comprising Salary of $88,655 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading) in accordance with the College Enterprise Agreement.
