About the Role

The Widening Participation Fast Forward Team within the Future Student Engagement team is seeking a reliable, motivated and highly organised team member to undertake a range of tasks supporting the delivery of programs to stakeholders right across western Sydney.

The Fast Forward Project Support Officer helps to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate the Fast Forward program while managing and servicing the broader engagement requirements of the schools involved in the program. The primary role of the Fast Forward Project Support Officer is to assist Fast Forward Project Officers to increase participation levels in Higher Education of students from targeted equity groups.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist Fast Forward Project Officers to organise and run program-related events, presentations and activities (including on-campus, in-school and online delivery modes).
  • Support Fast Forward Project Officers in delivery of senior student consultations as well as specific school presentation requests.
  • Prepare and review all program presentations and workshops and contribute to the development of new activities for on-campus days.
  • Liaise with teaching staff at schools to confirm event participation.
  • Extracting data from evaluation forms and creating reports utilising the insights.
  • Drafting and posting social media and Yammer content.
  • Help to identify, track, manage and problem-solve program issues, evaluate and manage school sector requests, and mitigate program risks.
  • Help supervise Student Ambassadors at events.

It is a mandatory requirement for any incumbent of this position to have a current NSW employee

Working With Children clearance in accordance with the NSW Child Protection (Working with
Children) Act 2012 as well as a current Driver's Licence.

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

Duration: 3 months with possible extension

Remuneration: Higher Education Worker (HEW) Level 5, Step 1 - $52.75 per hour (Rate is inclusive of 25% casual loading)
