The Joint Program in Medicine with Charles Sturt University commencing in 2021 provides an exciting new development for our program.  Our affiliations with Local Health Districts and with Primary Health Care organisations in our regions highlight a dual aim of attracting current and future medical leaders to the regions, and in turn improving the provision of health care to the Community of Western Sydney and beyond.

The General Practice Unit has a strong research track record, particularly in the area of health services. The successful applicant will be primarily involved in the implementation and continuing development of the General Practice curriculum across all years of the Medical Program.  Along with the recruitment and support of general practitioner supervisors and the ongoing development of the Unit’s research agenda.

The incumbent will work under the broad direction of the Peter Brennan Chair of General Practice and will maintain an emphasis on excellence in scholarship through teaching and research.

This is a part-time (17.5 hours per week), ongoing appointment primarily based at the Campbelltown Campus, with a requirement to travel to other campuses and facilities.

Remuneration Package:

Academic Level B Lecturer (pro rata) $65,568 to $77,369 p.a., (comprising salary $55,406 to $65,423 p.a., 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).

Academic Level C Senior Lecturer (pro rata) $79,711 to $91,438 p.a., (comprising salary $67,425 to $77,448 p.a., 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).

The University reserves the right to appoint at Academic Level B (Lecturer) or Academic Level C (Senior Lecturer) depending upon the skills, qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
