About the Office of Engagement and Advancement
The Office of Engagement and Advancement will work collaboratively with First Peoples, regional, national and international communities, peer universities, other tertiary education providers and industry partners to leverage existing innovations and programs across the University and within our communities.   This includes but is not limited to Western’s Alpha platform, The Academy, Western Sydney Creative, True Reward, Widening Participation, Philanthropy and Community Engagement.  The Office will ensure the University’s transformation into an engaged campus network will be pursued in aid of the communities we serve and the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of Greater Western Sydney.

About the Role
The Office of Engagement and Advancement is seeking an experienced Philanthropy Project Coordinator to join their team!

The Philanthropy Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the development and coordination of major fundraising projects that are led by the Office of Advancement on behalf of the University. This includes but is not limited to, implementing and managing the Advancement Project Planner, covering project content development in liaison with Academic Staff sponsors, overseeing and managing key project related tasks and actions, project meeting coordination, project minute and note taking, project marketing and promotion strategies and plans, maintenance of the Office of Advancement collaborative SharePoint site, interaction with the Raiser’s Edge CRM for project related reporting and tracking purposes, and the development of project budgets and reports for the Executive Director and the project Academic Lead.

The Philanthropy Project Coordinator will work closely with, and on behalf of the Executive Director, Advancement to implement and deliver fundraising project milestones and actions in a timely, considerate, and efficient manner.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based at Parramatta South Campus, although travel to other campuses of the university may be required. Please review the position description for further information.

About you
The successful candidate will have:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or a related field or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
  • Training or certifications in project management, fundraising strategies, donor management software, and CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating or managing fundraising projects, campaigns, or initiatives, preferably in a non-profit or educational setting.
  • Demonstrated experience cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors, alumni, faculty, and staff through effective communication and understanding their motivations.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, utilising project management tools and software effectively.
  • Experience working collaboratively with diverse teams such as marketing, finance, and external partners.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess fundraising trends and effectiveness, identifying problems and implementing solutions promptly.
  • Passion for the universitys mission, proactive and self-starting attitude, creativity in fundraising approaches, and adaptability to a dynamic environment.

Remuneration Package:  HEW Level 7 $117,645 to $126,892 p.a. (comprising Salary of $99,411 to $107,225 p.a., plus Superannuation and Leave Loading)
